Ryan Giuliano | Founder & Swim Instructor at Ivy Swim School
Ryan's journey in the world of swimming began at the tender age of 5 when she joined a competitive summer swim team. By the age of 15, she was already lifeguarding and instructing, and at 17, she took on the role of coach for the very team she started with. Over the past 20 years, Ryan has been dedicated to coaching, teaching, and managing pools across Illinois and New Jersey. Her passion for inclusivity led her to start a special needs swim team.
In response to the challenges posed by Covid, Ryan established Ivy Swim School in her backyard to stay closer to her daughter. The demand for lessons grew rapidly, and eventually, Ivy Swim School found a new home at the Luxury Assisted Living by Courtyard in Clinton. Ryan’s commitment to fostering a love for swimming continues to thrive in this fantastic new location.

Our Teaching Philosophy
The goal of Ivy Swim School is to provide our swimmers with safe and fun swim lessons while seeing continuous progress. We offer year round swim lessons for all ages and abilities.
We believe in learning to float with correct body position and controlling our breathing calmly. The main safety skill we teach is rolling to the back instead of “doggy paddle.” We then take those rolling techniques and easily turn them into the correct body position for rotary breathing and freestyle.
