Our focus is on teaching our students the fundamentals: floating with correct body positioning and calm, controlled breathing. Our key safety skill is teaching swimmers to roll onto their back rather than using the “doggy paddle.” These rolling techniques are then smoothly adapted into the proper body position for rotary breathing and freestyle.

Ryan is amazing! After first lesson I noticed my son more comfortable with water, and after 2nd lesson my 3 yr old said "I just love her!" She is so, so great with my son, gives him confidence and the right push to encourage even the things that made him scared before. He feels safe and proud of those accomplishments. My son never gained som much from going months !!!) to other swim classes as he got from just first 2 lessons with Ryan. Highly recommend Ivy Swim School, you will not regret it! THANK YOU!

Kathleen has been an amazing instructor for my daughter and son this summer. She is super patient, engaging, knowledgeable, and kind. My kids look forward to seeing her every week and have come leaps and bounds since the beginning of the summer.

Ivy Swim School and Coach O'Neill are amazing!!! My 3.5 year old started out this summer very timid of the water. He would cling onto us in the pool and wouldn't let go, after the 2nd class he is was so much more comfortable, and now after a few more and by the end of summer he is fully putting his head underwater, blowing bubbles and floating. He loves the pool so much now I can't get him out! We're so appreciative of Coach O'Neills patience and expertise and for giving us such a great experience with swim lessons. We're looking forward to contributing in the fall!

I've had both of my kids in Ivy Swim School this year and not only have they learned so much, they are much more comfortable with being in the water. Both of my children have different strengths and weaknesses when it came to swimming. Ryan was able to pick up on that the very first lesson and helped them individually all season to crush their goals. My children loved seeing her every week. She is very knowledgeable and also very patient and kind. I couldn't recommend her enough. Ryan is absolutely the best.

Both my girls took lessons at Ivy Swim School last summer. My youngest daughter was much more hesitant, would barely put her face in the water. Ryan was very patient with her. By the end of the summer she was dunking her head under the water and asking to go back to swim lessons!
